北京世纪艺苑画廊创建于1992年，是国内经营和推广中国当代油画艺术最早的专业画廊之一，实为当之无愧的画廊业先驱。曾举办过曹力、乔晓光个展；靳尚谊、刘小东、夏星、石良、朝戈、龙力游、李延洲等艺术家联展；1996年，画廊赞助并策划了《重复开始》大展，取得巨大成功；画廊在入驻观音堂文化大道之后，于2006年2月举办的“中国油画十五年 1990——2005”作品展、4月举办的“心灵纸本——乔晓光现代纸上作品展”、6月推出的艺术家关健“来自旷野的张力”油画作品展、9月举办的女画家蒋丛忆的个人作品展——“乱”、 12月推出的“恍若隔世——潘钺摄影作品展”均获得成功的市场反响和评论界的好评。

Beijing  Century Gallery·Can Art

Beijing Century Gallery, which is founded in 1992, is one of the professional galleries which operated and generalized the contemporary Chinese oil painting art the first in China. The gallery is worthy of the forerunner of the gallery industry. It has ever held the solo exhibitions of Chaoli and Qiao Xiaoguang and the associated exhibitions of Jin Shangyi, Liu Xiaodong, Xia Xing, Shi Liang, Chao Ge, Long Liyou, Li Yanzhou, and so on. In 1996, the gallery sponsored and hatched out the grand exhibition of “Recommencement” and made a great success. Since the gallery moved into the new site in Guan Yin Tang Art Avenue, it held the works exhibition of "Fifteen Years of Chinese Oil Painting form 1990 to 2005” in February, 2006, the “Soul Script—Contemporary Paper Works Exhibition of Qiao Xiaoguang” in April, 2006, the “Tension form the Wild” oil painting works exhibition of Guan Jian in June, 2006, the “Chaos—Solo Exhibition of Female Painter Jiang Congyi” in September, 2006 and the “As If  Previous  Generation—Photography Works Exhibition of Pan Yue”, and all of them are successful in the market and acquired good remarks from the commentary circle.   

Beijing Century Gallery mainly collects contemporary oil paintings, engravings and sculpture works, and most of the oil paintings are realism ones of the contemporary academic style, with representative painters of Wang Yidong, Yang Feiyun, Long Liyou, Shi Benming, Li Guijun, Shi Liang, Xia Xiaowan, Qiao Xiaoguang, Li Yanzhou, and so on. Besides, the gallery also pays attention to artists whose works bearing more contemporary styles, such as Jiang Congyi, Zhou Chunya, Sun Kan, Guan Jian,Pan Yue ,zhao Guangchen and so on. All of the works of the above mentioned artists represent the high-quality art level of Beijing Century Gallery. At the same time, the gallery endeavors to explore more young artists, who are talented and vigorous but unknown to public and undiscovered by the market and the art circle, and mobilize and make use of all effective propaganda measures and approaches to push their works to the frontier of the art market. Meanwhile the gallery is keeping close eyes on the changes and development of the markets of photography and sculpture works. As a bridge between artists and the market, Beijing Century Gallery will actively propagandize, generalize contemporary oil painters, photographers, print artists and sculptors, as well as their excellent works, and cooperate with all art expositions and all domestic and overseas binding companies to introduce them into the art market.    

The Can Art, which is affiliated to Beijing Century Gallery and has an area of 700 square meters, will ceremoniously enter upon business in the 798 Art District of Beijing in the first half year of 2007, so as to push out more excellent contemporary artists and works.
